Hay budden anvil company9/22/2023 ![]() **** This anvil is perfect for the hobbiest Blacksmith or as a Demo anvil because of it's size, weight and portability!! I personally forged on this anvil for several weeks and it's a very nice anvil with excellent re-bound and a sharp distintive ring. I would like help in establishing the serial number and manufacture date of this 230 Hay Budden anvil I inherited from my neighbor when he died. Hay-Budden started making anvils in the late 1880's and ceased production around 1926. Edges shows minor rounding and very lite chipping(SEE PICS). Working face is still nice and flat with only minor dings and lite punch marks. Very Nice 98 Pound Blacksmith Anvil Mrkd "HAY-BUDDEN".
